Uses.Tech Developers & Their Tools

Christian Hain

Christian Hain uses many tools that are familiar to me such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. However, I was most surprised to see that Christian also uses Affinity Photo/Publisher/Designer for design work. This is the same design software I have on my personal laptop and I was happy to see that a developer uses them since I don't hear about them being used too often. Christian also uses Node.js and React. These are both frameworks that I have heard of and hope to learn more about in the future.

Carol Gilabert

Carol Gilabert uses VS Code as her primary coding software and listed all the extensions she uses. I have not heard of many of them, but some of the ones she listed are Indent Rainbow, Web Hint, Error Lens, and Colorize. I really want to go learn more about these now and see if I should install them! Carol also has an image of her computer setup and listed all the different hardware she uses.

Julian Stark

Julian Stark uses WordPress and he listed all his theme and plugin recommendations. For themes, his recommendations include GeneratePress, Elementor Hello, Go Theme, Chaplin, and Kadence. For plugins, his recommendations include Elementor Pro and LiteSpeed Cache. After reading about these, I wonder if there are more WordPress fans on uses.tech who have shared their favorite plugins/themes!

How to Add My Info to Uses.Tech

To add myself to uses.tech, there is a link in the footer of the page which goes to a GitHub repository. On the GitHub page, there is a Contribution Guide that they want you to read since they don't want people doing pull requests. According to the Contribution Guide, a fork request would need to be submitted and then approved to add my information to uses.tech.
