Wordfence is a plugin that includes several security features to protect WordPress websites such as:
- Firewall – Wordfence’s firewall blocks malicious traffic before it can reach your website.
- Scans – Wordfence regularly scans your WordPress files looking for malicious code or backdoors that hackers may have installed.
- User Logins and attempts – Wordfence keeps track of any suspicious logins of people that may be trying to hack into your website and has email notifications set up by default (which can be turned off) to alert admins right away in case there is suspicious activity.
